VOICE

One of the hardest tasks for an actor is to find a character’s true voice.

It is not about trying to mimic some dialect or accent, nor is it about simply being loud enough to be “heard at the back”. It is about finding the right voice and the way of speaking that is relevant to the character in every situation…. and then to make sure that the audience can hear it all. But it is not always suitable for the character to be loud; and there is no need:

any kind of voice can be heard and believed if it is created and projected correctly.

Whether your vocal need is to achieve a comfortable speaking voice for radio or be able to fill the largest auditorium, Britt will teach you the techniques to get you there. She can make your whispering voice reach to the last seat….. or make your voice become bigger than you.

Some voice skills that Britt can teach:

The actor’s voice – connect with movement, feeling and expression to find your character’s true voice.

Open up your singing voice – become more versatile, open and confident with your voice.

Presenter’s voice – learn to project and articulate to achieve the voice people want to listen to.
